Privacy Policy

Focani ("we") provides science-based focus-training tests. This policy explains what we collect and why. You can use the core tests as a guest without an account.
What we collect
As a guest, we do not require any personal information to play. If you create a free account, we collect your sign-in identifier (e.g. your Google account email) and a username. When you save a session, we store your score, time, and accuracy, along with the performance measures that session produced — for example how many responses were correct, how fast they were, and how much your speed varied. For some tests we also store a compact per-trial record of that one session: for each item, its type, whether you responded correctly, and how long you took. That record contains no text you typed and nothing about you beyond how you answered that test. It is stored with the session and is deleted with it.
If you send feedback, we store what you wrote, and — when you send it from a results screen — which test it was about, the difficulty and the score of that round. If you are signed in at the time, your account is recorded with it so a reply is possible; if you are not, it is stored with no account attached. We do not ask for an email address on that form. To limit abuse we also store a one-way fingerprint derived from your IP address, the date and a server secret — it changes every day, cannot be turned back into an IP address, and is used only to cap how many messages one sender can leave per day. Feedback is read by the person who builds this site and is never shown to other users.
Cookies & analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate usage (page views and training events). We do not show ads, so no advertising partner sets cookies here. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA. To exercise any right, email support@focani.com.
Leaderboard visibility
If you appear on the leaderboard, we display your chosen username and score only — never your email or real name.
Children
Focani is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. See our Terms for the minimum-age requirement.
